Municipality of Rotterdam

The municipality of Rotterdam aims to create a strong cultural climate for Rotterdam. It aims to create optimal conditions for the production of art and culture, their accessibility, and for the sharing of information, knowledge, and resources. To achieve this goal, the municipality formulates policies in the field of art and culture and ensures that these policies are implemented. For this purpose, they provide both structural subsidies and subsidies for the execution of one-off projects.

Bud

Bud, known as 'The King of Beers', is the largest beer brand in the world. The premium lager distinguishes itself by its 'smooth taste' and positioning. The brand aims to introduce a new voice in the Dutch beer landscape and appeal to a broader audience. Bud aims to inspire people to take control of their lives, pursue their dreams, and be proud of what they believe in. The brand intends to achieve this by collaborating with future talent, inspiring them, helping break taboos, and celebrating the realisation of dreams with them. Bud's taste is best described as soft and 'easy to drink' and less bitter. The lager, with an alcohol content of 5 percent, is brewed with natural ingredients, including rice.

Van Wijngaarden-Boot Collection Foundation

The Van Wijngaarden-Boot Collection Foundation promotes the cultural image of the city of Rotterdam through the subsidisation and co-financing of cultural projects and performances. Projects must take place within the municipality of Rotterdam and preferably have an appeal beyond the municipal boundaries.

Elise Mathilde Foundation

The Elise Mathilde Foundation aims to provide financial and material support to individuals and organisations in the spirit of the founder of the foundation: Elise Mathilde van Beuningen. It seeks to achieve this by:

  • providing support to institutions that pursue a general social, cultural, or idealistic goal. The condition is that these foundations or associations operate without profit and work with volunteers and are statutorily established in the Utrecht or Rotterdam region, unless of national importance;

  • making payments for the maintenance and preservation of nature in the Netherlands.

Foundation to Promote Public Strength

Volkskracht supports anyone with a good plan for Rotterdam. In the nearly 90 years of its existence, Volkskracht has helped make many things possible. Heavy metal concerts, circus festivals, but also vegetable gardens for children and the renovation of a large theatre. Always in collaboration with the people of Rotterdam. Rotterdam is made with Volkskracht.

Performing Arts Fund

The Performing Arts Fund is the culture fund for music, musical theatre, dance, theatre, and festivals in the Netherlands. In addition to quality, performances are playing an increasingly important role. The Fund aims for a performing arts sector that appeals to as many different people as possible, moves them, and stands in the middle of society.

Erasmus Foundation

The Erasmus Foundation aims to promote education, the arts, and science in Rotterdam through financial contributions. It does this in accordance with the wishes of Dr. Elie van Rijckevorsel, who established the Erasmus Foundation on 17 July 1911.

Zabawas Foundation

The Zabawas Foundation is a so-called family foundation; a non-collecting foundation that disburses funds from a donated family fortune. The board still partially consists of members who were originally appointed by Mr. Zanen. The foundation can provide financial support to individuals and/or institutions that aim for a general interest in the fields of Culture, Nature, Medicine, Sport, and Education. The intention is that the donations particularly benefit Dutch society.
