OF BIRD
The kitchen of BIRD is a reflection of the city of Rotterdam: unpolished, honest, and a crossroads of styles and cultures. At the head of the kitchen is chef Rogier van der Sluis focusing on flavour, a people's person with a love for the kitchen where everything is possible. Think of excursions to the Asian, South American, Mediterranean, and Arabic cuisines. Since May 2015, the kitchen of BIRD has been expanded with an Italian wood oven. In the wood oven, our pizzaiolo Marius Chetroni prepares delicious wood-fired pizzas. In the restaurant, our sommelier and experienced manager André Volk stands with a passion for hospitality and music.

Be surprised by our Chef during our BIRD shared dining experience for € 44.50. Shared dining is about enjoying the tastiest dishes from our chef together! BIRD's shared dining consists of a selection of different starters and main courses that you can share (antipasti, salad, fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, but pizza is also an option). The selection is determined weekly and consists of seasonal products delivered fresh every day by our local suppliers.
Pizza sharingBIRD pizza shared dining consists of a selection of different starters to share, a pizza as a main course and a dessert to share. BIRD pizza shared dining costs €24.50.
Reservations are only for the restaurant. No reservations are needed for the BIRDsessions on Wednesday evenings or drinks.
If you reserve for 8 or more people, we serve the BIRD shared dining concept. You can choose between BIRD's culinary shared dining or pizza shared dining. On request, the number of courses can be adjusted, and any dietary requirements can be communicated during the reservation.
PROMOTION! Tasting Tuesday & Pizza Wednesday!Tuesday is your favourite (food) day. The surprise menu (with 5 courses!) from our chef for just €39,50 (instead of €44,50) per person. On Wednesday pizza + beer (or soft drink) for €15.00! Please reserve in advance mentioning ‘Tasting Tuesday’ or ‘Pizza Wednesday’.

Do you want to discover the origin of pizza with your company, a group of friends or family and see what you can create in our Italian wood-fired stone oven? Our pizzaiolo is happy to share his knowledge with you! In our pizza workshop, you will learn the secrets of the trade such as making dough, rolling out the pizza base, topping the pizza, and baking it in the oven.
When the pizzas come out of the oven, it’s time to enjoy the pizzas together with a drink. Our pizza workshops can optionally be combined with a wine tasting or a workshop in the BIRD kitchen. A pizza workshop costs 35 euros per person.
