Boogieball is back! This year marks the 16th edition, and it's going to be the ultimate late-night finale of the North Sea Jazz Festival. On Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12, the doors of BIRD will open once again for the city's hottest afterparties. Anything can happen here: artists from the festival might just walk in to join a jam session or hop behind the decks. Expect spontaneous surprises and a night you won't want to miss! BIRD is where the afterparty truly comes to life!

Where NN North Sea Jazz ends, Boogieball begins. The afterparties where guests get face-to-face with the world's best soul and jazz artists over two musical nights. Usher, Macy Gray, Mos Def, Anderson.Paak, Bootsy Collins, Roy Hargrove, Janelle Monaé, and Questlove, for example, all came straight from their performances at Ahoy to the stage in the Hofbogen for the official afterparty. Both nights, the afterparty kicks off around 11:00 PM.

On Friday, July 11, we’re thrilled to welcome none other than Joe Armon-Jones, the masterful keyboardist and producer from London, who blends his unique sound with deep jazz and soul influences. Together with our local hosts powered by OSHI: Bnny Hunna, Deborah Slijkhuis, Peter Somuah, and JUNYA, he will lead the iconic jam session, where anything is possible, and the energy is off the charts!

On Saturday, July 12, we welcome the legendary Ghost-Note, the project of Grammy-winning duo Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth, bringing their irresistible mix of funk, jazz, and soul to Boogieball.
