Abiba is a multidisciplinary artist who challenges the lack of diversity in Western-dominated electronic music, aiming to create a free space of expression on the dancefloor. Living in-between various cultural influences since early childhood, she is fascinated by sound and movement, drawing inspiration from jazz, soul and funk and their abundant histories of communal celebration, resistance and charity. Her musical selection relies heavy in syncopation, polyrhythm, intricate bass lines and meaningful vocals, aiming to share tracks that move her spirit and the audience’s body..
